Black business owners build more than companies — they build community. They are cornerstones of our local economy, creating jobs and generating economic activity that uplifts our City and Province.

This award is presented to a Black-owned business or entrepreneur who leads with vision, perseveres through barriers, and inspires others to believe that the door to entrepreneurship is open for them too.

Eligibility Requirements

  • ✔ Business has been operating for 3+ years
  • ✔ Operating in Saskatoon and Region at the time of the awards presentation

Any Black-owned business or entrepreneur operating in Saskatoon and the surrounding region that has been in operation for at least three years may be nominated.
Yes. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.
No. Submitting a nomination is completely free.
All nominations must be submitted by August 21, 2026.
The award recipient will be recognized during the awards ceremony on October 15, 2026.
Judges will consider business growth, leadership, community impact, innovation, resilience, and contributions to economic development.
Yes. Multiple nominations may be submitted for the same business or entrepreneur.
